Robert ABOUT ME
Hello and thank –you for taking the time to check out my site. To give you a little background on me and my family. I have an amazing wife, Rhonda who is also my best friend. We meet in 1995 and got married on July 13th 2002. She also has an amazing creative flair. We compliment our talents and have done some cool home projects.
Where I come from
I grew up in North Vancouver, BC Canada. After high school I bounced around form job to job trying to find my path, which so many others can probably relate to. But I’ve always had a passion and mine was mainly in photography but it was also making stuff from wood. Something that i really didn’t explore more until recently.
Why I build
How did i get into building?? I’ve always enjoyed working with my hands and building things. Although till recently I never considered myself all that good about it.
It wasn’t until when I started watching more of the DIY programs like Decked Out, Leave It To Bryan, Disaster Decks and Holmes on Homes and somehow discovered the Kreg Jig and all the stuff you can build with it. So doing more research I found so many DIY blog sites and ideas from pintrest, i began to to some simple projects like a 2×4 bench, creating pallet planters from reclaimed pallets. Then did some palette shelving which was really simple.
But my biggest motivation was my wife who likes to redecorate every so often and has a flair for interior decorating.
Everyone has to start somewhere, so as i gradually gain more experience by tacking new and more challenging projects I hope to share what i learn and the mistakes i make along the way, and there has definitely been some pot holes.. The biggest thing I’ve learned so far is sometimes you have to adjust as you build. NOTHING EVER IS AS EASY AS IT SEEMS. And take your time each step along the way. I’m by no means a professional but I’ve always been willing to accept the challenge.
I’ve been inspired by many Pintrest DIY projects and have adapted to suite what i need.
